Bodmin Lights Up Community Workshop

We are so pleased to be working in partnership with Sustrans and Cornwall Council, bringing you a FREE make your own bike sized lantern workshop AND bike safety check ready for the Light Up parade the following Friday.

This Sunday, 20th November from 10.30am to 4pm you can bring you little ones in to Cranked bikes, Bodmin, where we can carry out a bike safety check for FREE whilst they enjoy a lantern making workshop with the great people from Sustrans.

The bike safety check is carried out by our trained technicians who will examine items on your bike such as the brakes and the steering, making any adjustments that are necessary. There are no catches, this is a Sustrans project that we are proud to support and we hope that together we can build a strong community for Bodmin.

The lantern making is fantastic! There are fairy lights and crafts available that will enable you to create amazing pieces of art for your bike. This is also being led by Sustrans and there will be assistants here to help everyone have a great time. There are a number of bicycle lights and bells being offered for free also!

If you would like to take part in the lantern making please send an email to Emma at to book and let her know your coming along.

The bike safety check service is drop in, so no need for a booking.

Our coffee shop will be open of course so a nice relaxed atmosphere whilst you wait for your little ones to complete their lantern creations!
